LockwoodHume Office Environments Make Headlines
LockwoodHume Office Environments made headlines recently in the local press.
Although we cover the whole of the country it's nice to be recognised for excellent service, locally.
And rest assured that this level of service is available to you wherever you are in Britain.
BENEFITS FOR SUPPLIERS AND BUYERS
Buying goods and services locally can bring benefits for both suppliers, who see increased custom, and buyers, who can gain from a better level of service. One example which has sprung up as a result of the Buy Local scheme involved city web design company Internet Geeks. Based in Thorpe Road, the firm was looking to expand and needed to find a company to fit out a new office in December last year.Having just joined Buy Local, the company looked to Taverham-based fellow members LockwoodHume Office Environments to do the work - and both companies have benefited.Jason Wolfe, director of Internet Geeks, said: “Our experience with them has been nothing short of fantastic throughout. They've responded to our tight deadlines, unusual office space and evolving requirements really well, working as a partner rather than just a supplier. “Their prices are excellent, and we're getting the level of hands-on service that we simply wouldn't have been able to get from anyone other than a local supplier. “For us it has been a great endorsement of the philosophy that underpins Buy Local - the ability to support local businesses like ourselves and get a better commercial result at the same time.”Mike Lockwood, partner at LockwoodHume, admitted the firm often “struggled” to compete with national companies to secure business, and had tried in the past, with limited success, to promote the benefits offered by local companies to win contracts in the region. He said: “Whilst a lot of our business is outside Norfolk we do prefer wherever possible to work within the local area. The start we have had with Buy Local looks as if it may prove our point and help our business expand locally.”

Where theres a will...
It isn't always easy, this job.
We recently installed a 3.4 meter System Support beam glass boardroom table and 8 System Support high backed chairs at a prestigious new headquarters building.
This would have been fine except for the fact that the table would not go up the stairs, so we hired a crane and lifted it in through the fire escape.
Now there's ingenuity for you.
All done in a couple of hours on a sunny morning and once in position it doesn't look too bad after all, well worth all the hard work... and another satisfied customer!
