MECO was officially registrered as a company in its current form in 1980, mantaining an industrial tradition established since 1911 as a producer of metal furniture for communities and hospitals.

In the 1970's MECO changed its own production and began to manufacture filing cabinets and office furniture.

In 1992 MECO became part of the Doimo Industrial Group and now continues to benefit from all the synergy of being an integral part of a leading industrial group in the office furniture sector.

As the result of this, the company as undergone a technological revolution increasing both its specialisation and production capacity. At the current time, MECO has two production units located in Rovigo's industrial estate. They cover 25,000 square meters with good links to the main transport routes.
